Font is short for Fontainebleau, which is a mecca for bouldering in Europe (if not the world). Located just over 50 miles south of Paris, the area comprises of fantastic sandstone boulders located in a picturesque forest. There are many famous, classic boulders in Fontainebleau and a colour coded cicuit has been developed which allows climbers of all experince to climb and enjoy the area.

The term Font is used as the French bouldering grading system. It is commonly used in other parts of Europe on bouldering grades. The grades usually have the word Font before them to indicate, for example Font 4.
